Ophthalmologist
Nima Noordeh MD MSc FRCSC
Dr. Noordeh is an ophthalmologist with interests in cornea, cataract, refractive surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Noordeh has an interest in medical education, and has been involved in medical training of allied health workers, medical students, residents and physicians. Dr. Noordeh has also served as an examiner for the Medical Council of Canada. Dr. Noordeh enjoys participating in international ophthalmology. This interest has taken him to the UK where he spent time at Moorfields Eye Hospital . He has spent time working at the Srikiran Institute of Ophthalmology , in the Andhra Pradesh Province of India. Here in Canada, he has worked up north in Iqaluit, Nunavut, providing medical and surgical care for the area. In addition to clinical interests, Dr. Noordeh is actively involved in research. He completed his Masters at the Hospital for Sick Children, focusing on the genetic basis of ocular disorders.
Optometrist
Vishakha Thakrar OD FAAO FSLS
Dr. Vishakha Thakrar is residency-trained in cornea, contact lenses and refractive surgery management. She owns a specialty contact lens practice in Vaughan, Ontario where she primarily sees patients with corneal and ocular surface disease. She previously held the role of Director of the Contact Lens Service at the Cleveland Clinic and has spoken on contact lenses throughout Canada and the US. She has been a contributing editor for Contact Lens Spectrum, Eye Care Review, and Optometric Management, and has written numerous articles for Canadian and American journals. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the Scleral Lens Society. She currently sits on the board for the Contact Lens Section of the CAO, on the RCCO Contact Lens Working Group, and is a principal organizer for the CCLA Conference.
