Optometrist

Jeff and Tina Goodhew OD

Dr. Tina and Jeff Goodhew are partners in private practice at Abbey Eye Care in Oakville, ON. Clinically they have a special interest in myopia management, dry eye therapy, specialty contact lenses, and disease management. They have opened 3 practices in 3 different provinces over their career. Both have been actively involved in their profession serving on the boards of the BC College of Optometrists, Ontario Association of Optometrists and Eye Recommend. Presently they consult and speak for various companies in the eye care industry.

Optometrist

Alex Hynes OD, FAAO

Alex Hynes obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo graduating with honours in 2017. After graduating he completed a one-year accredited optometric residency program at the University of Waterloo in ocular disease with an emphasis on glaucoma and dry eye. In 2018 he became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, ocular disease section. Since 2018, Dr. Hynes has worked as a clinical supervisor at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in the primary care and ocular health clinics. During this time Alex has also worked in a medical optometry setting at a comprehensive ophthalmology clinic as well as at a full scope private practice in Kitchener, Ontario. In 2019 he co-authored the dry eye diagnostic portion of Clinical Procedures in Primary Eye Care 5th edition textbook by Dave Elliot.

Jason Chau OD

Dr. Jason Chau graduated from UW School of Optometry in 2019. He completed a clerkship rotation in Dauphin, Manitoba, a rural community with limited access to health care. His clinical interests include ocular health management, dry eye disease, and myopia control. He currently practices at Waterloo Eye Care Centre.
